In 2005 I started writing songs that I hoped and prayed would bring glory to the Lord. They are all original songs that tell of the change that has happened in my life since turning my life over to Jesus Christ. My prayer is that the Lord will use these songs to encourage others in their walk with Jesus and also lead many to Salvation. The Lord has given us the opportunity to make music and we have a street ministry where we play these songs on acoustic guitars on Main Street in Placerville and hand out Bibles. It has been an incredible blessing so far. We also play outreach concerts. That is where the name Hangtown Prophets comes from. Placerville used to be known as "old Hangtown." A prophet is someone who brings a message from the Lord. We do not claim to bring any new revelation from God, but we do proclaim the radical message of hope, love and truth found in His word. Our CD is finally complete! It has 15 original songs, with all profits going to Love In Action Asia Ministries! www.loveinactionasia.com. After playing in several Metal bands for around 16 years I had grown tired of the dark messages I was writing. I knew the truth about Jesus Christ but I had wandered far away from Him and it led me into a lifestyle that was filled with alcohol and drug use. In 2000 I turned my life over to Jesus. He has delivered me from the bondage of those things, and I know I will be with Him in Heaven when I die. He has given me hope and a new life! God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross and to take the punishment we deserve, so that we could have a personal relationship with Him. All who call on His name and ask for forgiveness for their sins will be born again and recieve eternal life! They will be made right with God. Just six months into the work there, the December 2004 tsunami brought devastation to South East Asia. Their desire was to bring hope and aid to Thailand's coastal villages in the wake of the disaster. Their team was on the scene just days after the wave hit. Their goal was not only to bring them aid and then return to business as usual, but to stay, living among the people in order to share the love and the good news of Christ Jesus. The tsunami opened an unprecedented door for the gospel, and through the devastation, God birthed a new work -- Calvary Chapel Ban Nam Khem!
Their service in Thailand has brought into focus the need on several fronts -- first for the lost of Thailand, and also for the needs of Thailand's neighboring country, Burma. The hope and livelihood of the Burmese and its ethnic minority have been crushed by a brutal military regime for nearly 60 years. Thailand has absorbed hundreds of thousands of Burma's refugees, and most of those refugees are comprised of Burma's largest ethnic minority, the Karen. Love in Action has heard this call, too; and they are committed to help in whatever way they can.

Since the humble beginning until now, God has risen up ministries in Northern and Southern Thailand, the Thai/Burma border and they are busy with on-going mission efforts deep inside Eastern Burma also known as Kawthoolei.
Their purpose is found in Proverbs 31:8, "Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy."
