- About Me:
- Brandon Scott Smith is a passionate singer and songwriter. If Brandon is not spending time with his family, singing or writing music, he is probably watching football, going to the movies or playing Texas Hold 'em on his iPhone. His greatest passion, however, is showing the world and the church what an awesome God he serves and how much He loves them.
Brandon and his family are members of Northstar Church located in NW Atlanta, but are typically leading worship at a metro area church. They believe in the local church and in assisting pastors and their staff to help lead their local congregation towards spiritual maturity. They have helped start churches, participated in and led many Bible studies and small group discipleship groups, and they personally have a passion for leading people into a more intimate and passionate walk with God.
Brandon's desire for his music is to take his personal experiences with God, family and life in general and try to communicate them in such a way that others can relate to and learn from the lessons he's learned along the way, sometimes the hard way! Brandon's desire for his ministry is to see those without a relationship with God start the most amazing journey of their lives by accepting God's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, and for those who have a relationship with God to grow in their passion for Him by understanding how awesome He is.
With the help of master producer Billy Hume (www.myspace.com/billyhume) the 100% original debut album Modern Day Prodigal brings the rock and hip hop genres together for an intimate look into the personal journey that Brandon has experienced as a true modern day prodigal, overcoming addictions and the desire for fame and fortune, only to realize that Jesus Christ is the only source for true peace, love, purpose and contentment.
